BSF Foils Infiltration Attempt in Kutch, Arrests 15 Pakistanis

Gujarat Border Security Force (BSF) has foiled a large infiltration attempt in the Kori Creek region of Kutch by arresting 15 Pakistani nationals trying to infiltrate the border in India illegally late at night.

The men were acting suspiciously, according to media reports, when BSF personnel, highly vigilant in the marshy border region, acted swiftly and arrested them before they could move further into Indian territory. The jawans’ vigilance, officials said, prevented what would have been a serious security blunder.

All 15 suspects are being interrogated to determine their motives for crossing the border. Intelligence agencies are also looking into whether the group is linked to extremist or terror organizations. The inquiry will also determine whether the infiltration was for smuggling, reconnaissance, or something more dangerous.

The Kori Creek region, situated along the India-Pakistan border, is highly sensitive due to its rough swampy landscape and unapproachability. This is exactly the environment in which infiltrators attempt to penetrate into Indian areas. Security forces remain posted in this stretch round the clock because even small attempts at infiltration are deemed a challenge to national security.

The government has emphasized that the vigilance of the BSF and coordination with intelligence agencies are central to ensuring that such incursions are detected and neutralized in early stages before they could evolve into more serious security issues.
