Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor launches online portal to offer assistance to families of terror attack victims: Key details inside.

In a big step to help families affected by terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has launched a new website. This website will make it easier and faster for families to get financial help, compensation, and government jobs if they’ve lost a loved one in a terror attack. The website was created by the Home Department with help from the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

The aim is to make sure all genuine cases get support and no one is left out. The website will keep track of data from each district and help speed up the process of providing relief.

To stop fake or repeated claims, the website also has an option to report if anyone has taken over the property of victims or their families. The Lieutenant Governor himself is checking the progress and making sure every claim is handled properly.

To make things even easier, toll-free phone numbers have been set up—0191-2478995 for Jammu and 0194-2487777 for Kashmir. Families can call these numbers to ask about their claims or report any pending cases. These helplines are managed by trained staff and are connected to the main system, so every request is properly recorded and acted on.
